Join us on Saturday, October 30 at La Plaza’s annual Avenida de Altares (Avenue of the Altars) featuring a unique Day of the Dead altars created by local artists along Alum Rock Avenue between King Road and the 101 freeway. Residents, guests, and community members are invited to view the altars and enjoy the variety of live music, food, and performances that will also be available along the route.
After taking in the cultural sights and tasting local fare on the Avenue, community members are invited to join us for a concert inside the Mexican Heritage Plaza, hosted by the School of Arts and Culture at MHP, featuring La Misa Negra.
