The 2019 Art/Life Forum will be an opportunity to connect with fellow MALI members, celebrate a decade plus of MALI, and learn about the exciting next phase of the program. The forum will feature networking, performances, and a special presentation about the MALI brown paper, “We Are Enough: Equity, Inclusion, and Emergent Leadership in Silicon Valley’s Multicultural Arts Community.”
Acclaimed folklife scholar and co-founder of MACLA, Dr.Maribel Alvarez, was commissioned by the School of Arts and Culture to write about MALi’s origin story, impact in the Silicon Valley’s arts sector, and potential future trajectory. MALI Program Manager Demone Carter will be making a special presentation at the forum detailing the insights from We Are Enough and making an announcement about the next phase of MALI.
