Best Practices in Access, Inclusion, and Equity
The breadth of diversity of our communities makes creating organizations that are inviting and inclusive of many cultures, generations, and perspectives essential yet complex. To thrive and to create relevant programming, local arts groups and artists look to focus efforts on expanding audience engagement, diversifying stakeholder communities, and increasing access to programs. The 2019 Engage.Next Conference will offer models and host conversations about ways to increase access and participation by diverse communities in the arts.
From broad topics like national trends in building equity, to helpful tips on diversifying boards, this conference will be of interest to small and large arts organizations, individual artists, and volunteers in the arts.

Welcoming FOR their communities by Nina Simon, ED of the Museum of Arts & History in Santa Cruz and author of The Participatory Museum and The Art of Relevance, and founder of the OF/BY/FOR ALL movement.
